Shannon Blount is a Vice President and Senior Client Advisor with GBC Bank Wealth Management and has over 18 years of experience. He began his career in wealth management in 2006 at UBS Financial Services and most recently worked with Horizon Private Wealth Management since 2015. Over the years, Shannon has held security series licenses 7, 66, and 31 and is currently licensed in life, health, accident, and long-term care (LTC) insurance.
Shannon earned an undergraduate business degree from Franklin College in 1990 and an MBA from the University of Central Florida in 1998. Beyond professional accomplishments, Shannon is dedicated to community involvement, having served on various volunteer groups with Hamilton Southeastern Schools, including the Royals Varsity Club and Guiding All Kids.
Shannon is married to Heather, who has been a public-school elementary teacher for 31 years; along with two adult daughters. Peyton graduates from Physician Assistant school in May 2025 and Ava is a Ball State Grad and works as an Interior Designer at CSO Architects.
